Home after Hurrican Gustav

We are home in Slidell and happy to report no damage or flooding to the house. Julie is back at school in Beeville. One tree came up rooted in the front yard and fell.

Now we just have to move stuff down from upstairs so the house is functional again. We are exhausted... The drive to and from Dallas was very stressful.. We left Dallas yesterday morning at 9am and arrived in Baton Rouge (Jocelyn's place) at 9 pm. (There was no power but we were so happy to have a break from hours of 'parking lot' traffic) We collapsed for the night at Jocelyn's place and got up and drove to Slidell this morning. Happy the power is restored :).

Here are some of the cute pics we took in Dallas... it was so great to spend time with the kids and Bella. Bella was so good travelling and in the hotel. What a fabulous dog. The kids are always so much fun they make life so enjoyable.
