Hurricane Gustav

- Evacuation to Dallas, TX

We spent the day yesterday moving our hardwood, kitchen sinks & fixtures (not yet installed) and all of our movable belongings to the 2nd floor of our house. We are exhausted... then we drove to Baton Rouge and Jocelyn came with us (she didn't want to leave her car in BR to possibly flood). So Julie, Jocelyn and I drove thru the night and this morning to Dallas... Contraflow traffic was a pain... at a crawl. We are happy to nap for a little while. Bella was a great traveller... We are happy to have a hotel for the night. Here comes Gustav... the terrible.. we'll just wait and see.
