Just a Thursday Night ...

We started to get weather today from the outer bands of hurricane Ike (rain, strong winds & dark clouds, some flooding in the coastal areas. It is projected to make landfall early saturday morning or late friday night in Galveston TX. We are happy we don't have to evacuate for this storm.. but it looks huge. We have had an empty fridge since we got back from Dallas... its time for some fresh veggies & fruit... I've had enough canned soup and nutrigrain bars... and it's time to restock the 72 hour food.

Julie spent last night in Houston... to get away from the hurricane Ike that was supposed to hit near the TX/ Mexico border... but it headed north toward Houston... so she returned to Beeville.. Hope she'll be safe there. We will probably get worse weather than she will - if today's weather is a sign.

Kids have a regular week of school this week... homework? hopefully it is getting done. I'm tired... always tired... hope I can find some energy this weekend.
