make for slow going on I-10 in Metairie

This would only happen in the south - I thought this was funny so I'm posting it.

Traffic travelling through Metairie on Interstate 10 is at a slow crawl as motorists navigate a multiple-vehicle accident that has shuttered three eastbound lanes and an 18-wheeler with a cracked trailer full of Gatorade and Grits block the westbound lane at Clearview Parkway, according to State Police.

Troopers are investigating the accident, which occurred at I-10 and Bonnabel Boulevard and involves several vehicles and an 18-wheeler. The accident has shut down the right, right center and center lanes of the five-lane interstate. There was no word on when the highway would fully reopen.

An 18-wheeler with a cracked trailer full of Gatorade and grits block the far right lane of westbound I-10 at Clearview Parkway, State Police said. The trailer cracked open and now authorities must unload the cargo with a forklift before the truck can be moved.
