My Sister Sherry - My Best Friend
Reflecting back on the challenges and good times in my life she has always been there - night or day, by telephone, email or in person. So this tribute is for you Sherry. I'll add more pics later when I find them and scan them. We are twins... and it is a great life. In younger years it was tough - a minor identity crisis (major when we were teenagers) and constant competition for everything. Now that we are adults it's the constant that I can always count on...
Last year, in August, when I moved to Lousiana she arrived the day after we moved from Virginia and helped me clean the scary rental house, move in and kept me company as we discovered all the necessities in a new city - the grocery store, the church and the schools. We worked so hard moving in and only such a short time being tourists before she returned home. We went on the Honey Island Swamp Tour and saw 8 alligators, I showed her the sights in New Orleans, we rode the paddle boat on the Mississippi, walked along the riverwalk, enjoyed Beignets and Hot Chocolate, and had a carriage tour of the French Quarter.
We took this picture by the stop sign because there is a stop sign on every corner in every subdivision - even when it is not an intersection (just a corner). Kind of crazy.
