I'm grateful to be a mother....
As I sit and think about the first moments in each of my babies lives.. I cherish the blessing of being a mother. Unless you are a mother you will never understand the instant wonder of that moment when your heart & eyes finally get to meet the child you've talked to & prayed over for nine months.
It is the awesome love that is so huge and all encompassing and fills the mind and soul of a new mother... the tenderness and intimate moment when you know God's love is real... as real as your love for your new baby... for your own mother... and your family...
It's the joy of knowing your baby loves you unconditionally and knowing that you love them unconditionally..
It's the joy of future hopes and dreams... of who each child will become... and how you can bring them to the best of their future...
The sweetest moments I know are the 'I Love You's..' that reassure you... the splashing of kids in a bubble bath, their first word, first step, first day of school when you cry all the way home... it's a whole life where you have watched them become who they want to be... and you know you've made mistakes and they've made mistakes.. but you forgive each other and hold onto the best in each other...
And you hope someday they will know of your joys... by having the opportunity to be a parent too.
