Shelly's Birthday
I share my birthday with my twin sister Sherry and my niece Lauren; Tyson's friend Zach also had a birthday.
We celebrated with some cheesecake. It was a tough day at work and I appreciated the happy birthday phone calls from Todd & Julie. Macy & Tyson are the best - so glad they welcomed me home after a tough day. Todd came home with some roses and chocolate. I enjoyed a telephone visit with Sherry and a phonecall from Mom. Thanks for your love and support. Things always seem a whole lot better after talking to my sister Sherry.
So now I'm older than I'd like to be but I'm going to try to live more each day with a little bit of optimism - attitude is supposed to make life what it should be - so I'm going to try it.
Today Jocelyn came home for a visit and brought a delicious lunch and a family favorite - strawberry pie - mmmm so good. I love it when Jocy comes home for a visit it makes me feel so loved and she brightens my world. Time with those I love is the best gift of all.
We all enjoyed visiting with her friend Martin - it was an enjoyable afternoon with lunch, a walk in the neighborhood, strawberry dessert, icecream, and the saints game. This morning was the primary program, it was really good. The primary presidency surprised me with a vase of flowers and chocolates - so sweet. Orville and Marie called and it was good to visit. Hometeacher and the missionaries stopped by and gave a great message. All in all the weekend was good.

Thank you so much for happy birthday wishes.
Now I'll count down to my proposed expiration date - my 80th birthday - only 34 years to go.
