Beginnings of Christmas...

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas. Yesterday I put up the Christmas lights on the house (a few strings of lights wouldn't light up so the garage isn't done). We don't have eaves troughs to clip them onto so I had to improvise... (its amazing what you can do with a few staples and white twist ties).

Yesterday, Todd & Macy picked up the tree... and it is gorgeous. The nicest tree we've ever had. (the only tree that has required the use of ladder to decorate). So it took all afternoon and its all decorated (our decorations are a little sparce - perfect for those 'charlie brown' christmas trees) I had to spread them out on this gorgeous tree.

Macy got out a few decorations and put up the nativity set. Matt stopped in for a few minutes - it was so good to see him and even better to get a hug and an 'I love you - Mom. He asked what he could get me for Christmas... I didn't really know at the time but I know now... come home for christmas and lets spend time together, have fun at the zoo and get a 2008 christmas pic of our family. at Audubon Park.

Today Tyson was ordained to the office of a priest. Wow - what a blessing. I'm so happy for you Tyson... what a great privilege and a blessing to hold the priesthood and bless the lives of so many of God's children. It triggered my memory back a few years to another special time when Matt was ordained to the office of a priest and was able to baptize Tyson.
My heart is full of gratitude for loved ones and blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to come to know Jesus and tesitfy of his love and gift of eternal life.
