Time Flies . . .
It seems like yesterday when our family was in Edmonton the kids were all young. They were busy in school, delivered fliers, and we enjoyed lots of time together relaxing in the hot tub in our back yard. We had so much fun with our friends in the neighborhood. Our oldest son, Matt was in Jr High School and Macy was a new baby. I thought life was so complicated but now looking back... it was so simple. Where did the time go?
Now we are in Louisiana. The kids are grown or almost grown. Lifes experiences have taught us that family & time together is the best investment and has the greatest return. Matthew is now 22 yrs old and Macy is 9 yrs old. We feel joy as we reflect on the days of yesterday in Edmonton, great friends, good laughs and family within six hours. Where are those relaxing hours in the hot tub, the frozen hairdoos, the baby's first 'swim' in the hot tub, back yard fires roasting marshmallows and spending time with neighbors, the short walk across the field to Bisset School. Snow and cold... delivering fliers... runs in mill creek ravine and ice skating near the sprinkler park.
The road of adventure has brought us here from Edmonton to Calgary and Calgary to Williamsburg and Williamsburg to Louisiana. Many wonderful friends... great memories... long summer road trips to visit with friends and family in Canada. We are now in the Louisiana chapter in this adventure called life. New friends, new places and home. We now know that home is being together.
